Made in collaboration with Studio D'artisan, this limited release denim combines genuine sumi ink with the incredible low-tension fabric of the original Toyoda G3 shuttle loom in the century-old loom's final run. Built in 1924 (and now currently out of commission), the fabled Toyoda loom weaves at a slow rate of just 5 meters of fabric per hour, creating a uniquely uneven and rugged texture that no other machine in the world can replicate. The jeans receive their unique blue-black color through a combination of indigo dye and rich sumi ink, allowing for an incredible color spectrum as the jeans fade. A one-wash rinse treatment eliminates shrinkage, ensuring the denim is ready to wear on day one without any further shrinkage. Finished with special collaborative details, including a custom cowhide leather patch and black herringbone pocket bags.
