Founded in 1915, the Kyoto Montsuki company has spent generations pursuing the deepest, most consistent black possible with natural dyes. The jeans are initially rope-dyed an indigo color, and are then repeatedly hand-dipped in Kyoto Montsuki's "Kyo Kuro" dye to create a powerful black only achievable with this method. The final product undergoes an additional rinse to further minimize shrinkage and is equipped custom Studio D'artisan detailing.
